Luxurious Macadamia Hot Cacao
1C Macadamia milk
1.5 tsp raw cacao
1.5 teaspoon grass fed bovine collagen
1/2 tsp maple syrup Pinch salt
*Optional addition for extra luxury, crunch and creaminess: 1 tsp macadamia butter
Homemade Macadamia Milk
1 cup raw macadamia nuts
4 cups water
1 teaspoon vanilla paste or pure vanilla essence
1/4 tsp cinnamon
3 fresh medjool dates pitted
Combine the nuts, vanilla, cinnamon, dates and water into a high performance blender. Blend at medium to high speed until creamy white for 45 seconds. Strain if you don’t like grits, however these add extra skin loving goodness. Store in a glass jar for up to 4 days in the fridge.
Combine macadamia milk, cacao, and maple syrup in a saucepan on medium heat. Give this a little whisk to combine. Once hot, add collagen, macadamia butter and serve in your favourite cup.
