the ingredients of macabalm
BLOG POSTWhen it came to creating macabalm, one thing was always apparent and non-negotiable to us, we must source and use the best, natural ingredients.
macabalm was born in the Byron Hinterland. This area deeply inspired me due to its rich origins and abundance of macadamia nuts and organic ingredients. Macadamia nuts were always something I ingested, but my curiosity grew around this question, "what effect would they have on my skin?". Macadamia has an abundance of antioxidants, vitamins & minerals. Combine this with an ability to mimic our skins' lipid system, it makes macadamia one potent and hydrating ingredient.

Rosehip Oil
Rosehip oil is a pressed seed oil that's been valued since ancient times for its incredible healing properties. This one is amazing for sensitive skin and has an abundance of hydrating and anti-aging benefits.

- Regenerates and heals
Jojoba Oil
Jojoba is a pure, natural oil that penetrates the skin for deep hydration. It also shares the same molecular structure as the natural oils found in healthy skin. As we age, the sebum production in our skin begins to decrease, meaning fine lines and dry skin. Enter - Jojoba. The Jojoba plant produces wax esters that are identical to our sebum, which is why we made it an important part of macabalm.
Alongside these four incredible ingredients, macabalm also contains Sweet Almond Oil, Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Shea Butter Oil and Natural Vitamin E, all of which are 100% Australian and natural ingredients. (And nothing else!) All natural, all organic, all nourishing.
